Lacrosse is a sport that Kettle Run High School has had for a very long time. Boys Lax is a sport many love and adore, and our team at KRHS has its place in many people’s hearts. The boy’s team has many star players, such as Carson Hawkins, Mason Hodges, Ryan Sample, Scotty Barone, Tyler Diagle, and Tiago Pendley.
On Monday, April 29, 2024, there was a game between the Kettle Run Cougars and the Fauquier Falcons. Kettle Run won with a finishing score of 15-5. Although the game was filled with the desire to win and the pressure on their backs to succeed, Kettle Run’s boys lacrosse team stuck together through it all. With many outstanding passes and assists made by attacker Ryan Sample, they easily won against the Fauquier Falcons.
Their offense and defense in this game worked perfectly together. This was an excellent game played by our boys lacrosse team. They may not be number one in the region, but fourth is still very impressive. They have won 3-4 games this season thus far, but playing against such competitive teams who are also talented isn’t easy.
The season is soon to be coming to an end and based on everything known and usual expectancies from the lacrosse team, they will continue to have more successful games. We can expect that this team will power through and create very high standards for the next varsity players.
