Critics have lauded Aftercare for its depth and cohesion. Amanda Jones of the Ramapo News describes the album as a “ moody 15-track anthology that dives into love and consequences,” noting that each song offers a unique vibe while maintaining a unified sound characterized by “ 2016-techno feeling beats and a sultry pop tone”.
